DESCRIPTION:**WEATHER UPDATE**\n\n\n\nIt may rain this weekend. Check our Instagram for the most up-to-date information about the weather conditions and whether or not we’ll still be playing. General rule of thumb: If it’s drizzling\, we’ll play. If there’s a thunderstorm\, heavy rain\, typhoon or other severe storm\, we will cancel or suspend play. \n\n\n\nGeneral Info\n\n\n\nWe’re hosting a five-a-side football/soccer tournament! We’re inviting AJET teams from Shikoku\, Oita\, Hiroshima\, Okayama\, Shimane and Yamaguchi to play and build friendships across prefectures. \n\n\n\nWho can play?\n\n\n\nAnyone! If you have Japanese colleagues\, friends\, or family that want to participate\, they’re more than welcome to join your team or form their own (though the tournament will be in English\, it shouldn’t be difficult for Japanese speakers to participate). We do ask teams to nominate a referee(s)\, but do not have to confirm this until the day of the tournament. If you can’t find the numbers to make a team\, you can still sign up and we will try to make a team for you/add you to another team\, though we can’t guarantee that. \n\n\n\nSupporters\n\n\n\nIf you don’t want to play but do want to cheer on your friends\, or want to make some new friends\, you’re more than welcome to come along! You won’t have to pay the tournament fee. \n\n\n\nWhile this tournament is its own event\, we are hoping to host a larger six-a-side football/soccer tournament in autumn with teams from the Shikoku\, Chugoku\, and Kyushu regions. You are more than welcome (and encouraged to) play in both\, and this tournament would be a fantastic opportunity to get some game experience and play time to get an edge in the autumn tournament. \n\n\n\nPlease fill in the attached form for your team(s) and return them to ehimeajet@gmail.com or Freya (Ehime AJET Sports Co-ordinator) by Friday\, 16th June. As it is a quick turnaround\, please do let us know if you need an extra little bit of time to finalise numbers/players and we will try to be flexible\, but you need to let us know this is the case by the 16th June deadline. \n\n\n\nIf you are signing up as an individual player\, please sign up using this form. Teams can then be created from the free players soon after the deadline. \n\n\n\nEnkai\n\n\n\nWe’d like to host an enkai on the Saturday evening after the matches in Matsuyama with the players coming in from other prefectures.

DESCRIPTION:The summer festival that has been held for many years under the name “Iyo City Sumiyoshi Festival” has been changed in terms of the event date and name to “Iyosai Festival\,” becoming the summer festival for the citizens of Iyo City. It is held annually on the last Saturday and Sunday of July. \n\n\n\nOn the 29th (Saturday)\, events such as the “Children’s Fish Catching Competition” and the “Iyo Dance Parade” will take place. On the 30th (Sunday)\, various events will be held in and around Iyo Port and the shopping district. The festival will reach its climax in the evening with a fireworks display at the port (approximately 6\,000 fireworks are scheduled to be launched).
